Very confused...

by Kristi
(Utah)

I realize that everyone and their goals are different. For me, I am trying to lose about 50 lbs. That being said, I have a LOT of questions about Tabata, but mostly interval training in general. First off: am I supposed to do every workout with weights, or can it be just, say, a jump rope or something of the like? Also, why can I not do Tabata everyday and is it the only type of workout I should be doing, or is it kinda just one of those help-you-along-the-way workouts, meaning you do actually do regular cardio six days a week for 30 minutes, and then this maybe 3 times a week. I hope I am making sense because I am extremely confused right now and need help.
Thanks.

Tabata is easy

To make things simple for you...

Continue doing whatever weight training program you are doing first. (Always do cardio AFTER your weight training for maximum fat loss).

Then start doing Tabata every other workout, instead of your regular cardio. If you have the energy, feel free to do regular cardio in between the tabata days. You will notice your metabolism increasing immediately. Especially if you can do it in the morning.

Once you can do Tabata every workout day, feel free to do it!
