I Need Some Help?

by Maddie
(New Jersey)

Okay, so I am a 14 year old girl who would maybe kinda like to be a lot thinner. And fitter. Anyway, I got kinda confused reading this...do you do this with weights or are you sprinting and then resting? Or do you mean you can do both? Also, you wouldn't happen to know like an exact diet I could go on, do you? The "Food Pyramid"'s too broad for me, I need an exact diet plan so I can follow it. I'm about 128 pounds and 5ft 3"...and I'd like to get lean and fit as soon as possible. Can you help me?

Urgent Weightloss
by: Greg

First of all, i don't think you need tabata. I think you could get great results with standard hiit.

I don't have an exact diet plan up at the moment, but i will be adding guidance on how to set your own diet up on losebellyfatworkout.com

It should be up in the next week or two.

Talking about lose belly fat workout, its a great place to begin and you can find a lot of info there.

As for weights or sprinting, you can do either, which ever is more convenient and more enjoyable for you.

As for wanting to lose weight very quickly, here's one tip that i learned the hard way.

Find a healthy diet that enjoy eating and exercise that you have fun doing.

It makes it sooo much easier to stick too, and you end up ignoring the scale because your weight loss comes naturally and in good time.

your BMI
by: Anonymous

Hi

At 128lbs and 5"3 your BMI is 22.7 which is in the normal weight range for your height and weight, you are also 14 yo so your body is still developing and will continue to change and develop as you mature. Wanting to be more fit and/or tone is a good goal and can be accomplished by regular exercise and an optimal diet. You most likely do not need to do weight exercises or tabata and would not recommend weights as you are 14 years old and probably still growing. You can achieve the results you want by doing cardio and body weight exercise and HIT. You can google these for more info and even google something like "body weight exercises" for some specific workouts. Based on your height and weight you are not overweight and should not try to do too much calorie restricting to lose weight. Eating a well balanced diet (without junk/fastfood) and exercising should get you the result you desire. Women often think they can eat less and exercise more and get results, but that in fact ends up being detrimental and does not provide the results they desire. Lastly there is no magic execricise or diet that will get you the results "faster", all it takes is hard work, time discipline, and determination! Good luck!

@Anon above me

Thanks for saying that her BMI is normal for her height and weight, and for pointing out that she's still growing.

@OP - Although of course it's never too early to start healthy eating habits and exercise, it doesn't sound like you need to be "a lot" thinner; given the info you posted, "a lot" thinner would most likely be TOO thin and unhealthy. Anon above me gives helpful information.
