Hi I am a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.

I am getting ready to make some changes in my classes, Tabata Training looks like it would be a great way to take it up to another level. What are your suggestions for a class time. I have been instructing an interval class changing it up all the time. Is Tabata something I could mix into it. How would you format Tabata for a class time of an hour?

Not sure about Tabata

If done properly tabata would stand alone and just be 4 minutes long....
and you would normally struggle to walk out of the gym afterwords.

Saying that, you could use the timing of tabata in an interval workout. I would probably suggest using a beginner version of 10 second sprint with 20 seconds rest, otherwise your class won't make the end of it.

Just make sure the sprint section is not as intense as a normal tabata would be
