Foods

by Eric

I would really like to try this program, but I am a picky eater. What kind of foods are on the meal plan? Is there any way to see a sample day's meal plan? That would help very much.

Watch the peanut butter
by: Dave

I agree that peanut butter is a good source of protein but watch out. Most popular brands have replaced the natural peanut oil with saturated fat (palm oil) or hydrogenated oils (transfat). Some slip by listing the amount of transfat by listing small serving sizes and hiding behind an FDA regulation that says you don't have to list fats below 1g per serving. Even some "natural" peanut butters have substituted cheaper fats for the natural oil.

Go for the real peanut butter. The ingredient list should read: Peanuts, sugar (optional), salt. You will know you have the real stuff if the oil separates and you have to stir it back in.

Post High Intensity Workout Diet
by: Patrick

After I complete an intense interval workout I generally drink a Gatorade and eat a hard boiled egg or two. When I don't have a gatorade ill find myself craving an orange juice or some other drink thats sugary. However, lately i'v been wondering if it is counter-productive to put sugar back into your blood stream when you are trying to burn fat. The reason being that your body turns to fat burning after you've used up all your sugar.
