Equipment required

Question:Can all of the exercises in this plan be done with just bodyweight, dumbbells and a pull-up bar? I don't have a lot of costly equipment, and I don't belong to a gym. If other equipment is required, can other exercises be substituted?

Answer: You do really need a gym for this program. You could get by but it really depends on your current strength level. It's possible to substitute barbell exercises with dumbbells, however the key to a lot of the resistance exercises is to go as heavy as possible, and i don't think it would quite as effective doing heavy compound exercises with dumbbells.

I am a bit resistant to offer substitutes as the authors are very particular about sticking to it exactly.
