Dont always weigh yourself

by matt

Dont look at the scale, instead set goals to lower your heart rate and blood pressure, i noticed that i would always get discouraged if i didn't see weight loss on the scale, but even if your not losing the weight your body is still changing for the better and you will notice the benefits from your training, whether there is weight loss or not. also the scale might not say you lost weight but it could be because of water weight or a gain in muscle mass which in the long run will further your weight loss.

Be aware
by: Anonymous

I don't agree. I like to weigh myself everyday and be aware of all the subtle changes that go on throughout the day. How much weight is gained after a meal? How much after drinking water? It inspires me when I lose 5 pounds after an hour of cardio, even though it is mostly water weight. Body awareness is what it comes down to. And, to not discourage yourself if you gain weight, or don't see the weight loss you expect, make exercise a life long commitment and not just something you do because you let yourself go.
