Already Lean

by Zachary Kale
(Atlanta, GA)

As of right now, I have about 8-10% body fat. I've been working my way through Men's Health Power Training with success. I'm thinking about starting the WSFL program in May just to shred up for the beach in June. Would this program be the best choice for me? Would I lose as much fat as the advertisements say? My goal is to look like the model on this page.

Monitoring intensity of yr HIIT training
by: Lucas

If you are not sure whether you are putting enough effort into yr HIIT training, the way to ensure that you are exercising in the correct training zone for maximum benefits is by monitoring yr heart-rate. A training zone of anything from 60% - 85% of yr maximum heart rate (MHR)is considered sufficient to induce the most efficient fats burning process from yr HIIT workout. Do it 3 times a week , it will super-charged yr metabolism rate and turn your body into an automatic FATS BURNING MACHINE !! :D

How am I doing?
by: GofattyGo

I have been doing High Intensity Interval Training for two weeks, following the guidelines and recommendations outlined on this site and the Lose Belly Fat site. Wow! HIIT certainly re-writes the book as far as I am concerned! Over the years I have tried many different forms of exercise but this is by far the most time efficient way to get fit and burn unwanted body fat.

My only concern is that I am worried about whether or not I am putting in enough effort. During my last HIIT workout (see http://gofattygo.wordpress.com/2009/06/01/slim-for-summer-day-36/) I managed 6 sprint intervals of 35 seconds, the first three at 8mph and the final three at 7.5mph (8 per cent incline on the treadmill). I am 5 foot 10? and weigh around 120kg. And I?m fat!

Is this any good in your expert opinion? I feel like I am putting in maximum effort but should I be pushing myself even harder? I really want this to work and am determined to lose as much excess fat as humanly possible, so any comments would be massively appreciated.

By the way ? great website! So pleased I stumbled upon it.

You are in a great position to do this workout.

If you are already around 10% I'm not sure you have 20lbs to lose but a lot of lean people lost there last few pounds with this workout.

It is intense but if you already down to 10% bf i am sure you will be used to that
