30 Days to lose 15lbs

I am on a plan for 30 days, to lose approximately 15 lbs, and to tremendously tone my muscles while losing the weight. I am 47 and thinner than most (150), however, I need a few pounds off of me, and much better tone. I'm in the military reserves and need to stay in my best physical shape. Can I do 20 seconds of situps, rest for 10. Also, do you have any other suggestions?

I would not recommend sit ups for Tabata training. You need to hit the larger muscle groups, such as your thighs or back when you go for your 20 secs. One suggestion would be to use five pound dumbbells and hold them on your shoulders while you do squats.
